CEP - Photos of Golden Eagles by Charles Eric Palmar
The ZPC (Zoological Photographic Club), founded in 1899 was an early form of social media in which members printed and posted their pictures to each other for comment. This shows a sheet of comments about a Golden Eagle photo by CE Palmar taken in 1956.. The ZPC still exists, and membership is limited to 28 photographers. The author remarks: There is a trace of bivver. The subject comes into the "rarely photographed" category. No wonder there is bivver (camera shake or bird movement) at half a second exposure! - DCP. Member's Comments include: A nice print of a well-known eyrie. You are lucky to find one at all as this year quite a lot are vacant, due to poisoning, traps and ...(unreadable).

Cliff eyrie of the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) with two eggs, situated at 1500 feet above sea level. This one measured over five feet in diameter and was built chiefly of stout heather stems and dead sticks, and lined with fine heather tops and woodrush. It contained a spray of freshly gathered ivy leaves - an unusual material. Scanned from a photo taken by CE Palmar in 1951.
