Drumstick primula (Primula denticulata), Hamilton Park Avenue, Kelvinbridge, Glasgow. Scanned from a slide taken by CE Palmar. Native to moist alpine regions of Asia, from Afghanistan to south eastern Tibet, Burma and China, introduced and cultivated to a range of shades of purples and blues. Denticulata means "small-toothed", referring to the serrated leaf edges.
