Cuckoo flower or Lady's Smock (Cardamine pratensis). This is an important food plant for the caterpillars of the orange-tip and the green-veined white butterfly. Ordinarily found in damp habitat. The plant is said to flower at the same time as the Cuckoo bird returns to the UK, hence its name. This photo was taken at Uplawmoor, East Renfrewshire.
