Doon the Watter - Firth of Clyde
Hunterston A turbine hall, where steam powered the turbines to generate electricity in a Magnox nuclear power station, probably taken in the late 1960s. The power station was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s, opened in 1964, and decommissioning began in 1989. It will probably not all be demolished and cleared away until 2080. Scanned from a transparency taken by David Palmar.
