St Kilda Field Mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus hirtensis), found dead in Village Bay, Hirta. It is a subspecies of field mouse (or wood mouse), almost twice the size of its mainland counterpart, and feeds on snails, insects, moss and seeds, and will also eat seabird and sheep carcases.
