Chickweed Wintergreen (Lysimachia europaea, formerly Trientalis europaea), is a plant in the family Primulaceae. It is a herbaceous perennial plant that is a woodland indicator species. In Scotland Chickweed Wintergreen grows on acidic, organic soil in pine, birch and oak woodlands. The plant ranges from 5 to 20cm in height and the stem is unbranched, usually with one or two white/reddish flowers. The leaves are thin and form a rosette around the stem.
