European Aspen (Populus tremula), taken by David Palmar in the tree nursery at the Trees for Life rewilding centre, Dundreggan, Invernessshire. Aspen is a species of native tree which occurs locally in Scotland. It spreads by cloning itself, so what looks like several trees can be the one plant.

It is a cable-stayed, twin-span suspension bridge which will connect pedestrians, cyclists and wheelers with the communities of Maryhill, Ruchill and Gilshochill, and enable continuous movement along the canals without leaving the towpath or encountering steps or danger from traffic.
