Female Orange tip (Anthocharis cardamines) butterfly nectaring on Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata), former Bridgeness Shipbreakers site, Bo'ness. Females are white with black tips and lack the orange of the males. The butterflies prefer damp habitats but are often found in gardens. They use this plant as a place to lay their eggs.
