Phantassie Doocot is found near the site of Preston Mill. It was built in the 16th century to house and breed up to 500 domesticated pigeons. The word doocot is the Scots word for dovecote. The pigeons were kept for a food source as well as their eggs. Taken at Preston Mill in East Linton, East Lothian.
