Peacock (Aglais io) on Pussy Willow (Salix caprea) at Possil Marsh, Glasgow, one of the earliest butterflies to appear in the spring, taken by David Palmar. This is a somewhat worn specimen, which has just come out of hibernation, having overwintered as an adult.
