Wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe) with a beetle in its beak, Tiree. Wheatears migrate to Africa, so are not seen in midwinter on Tiree, arriving in March and staying until autumn. Several tens of pairs breed on Tiree. This is either a first winter bird or a non-breeding adult female, shown by the orange colour.
