Scalloway, Shetland's ancient capital and the island of Trondra. Trondra is on the left, and was connected to the Shetland mainland by a bridge in 1971. Note the nordic style and colour of the house architecture.

Scalloway, Shetland's ancient capital and the island of Trondra. Trondra is on the left, and was connected to the Shetland mainland by a bridge in 1971. Note the nordic style and colour of the house architecture. In the middle is a floating hotel for oil industry workers, as the Sullom Voe terminal expands and oil exploration spreads to the west of Shetland in the north Atlantic.
