Clouded Border (Lomaspilis marginata), taken by David Palmar. The caterpillars for this species commonly feed on Aspen (Populus tremula), poplars (Populus spp.), willows (Salix spp.) and Hazel (Corylus avellana).

Glasgow - Kelvindale moths
Scalloped Oak Moth (Crocallis elinguaria) trapped in a Kelvindale garden, taken by David Palmar. During their larval stage they feed on a variety of broadleaved trees. These include Common Oak (Quercus robur), Downy Birch (Betula pubescens), Silver Birch (Betula pendula), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
