Its common name is misleading - it is neither a chickweed nor a wintergreen, but a member of the primrose family. Here is is growing in Curr Woods, near Dulnain Bridge in Speyside.

Its common name is misleading - it is neither a chickweed nor a wintergreen, but a member of the primrose family. Here is is growing in Curr Woods, near Dulnain Bridge in Speyside. The flower is over, and the seed head remains. Notice the Primrose-like leaves.
