A Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis) at Totronald on Coll, Argyllshire. Goldfinches are often found in open, partially wooded lowlands, forest edges, thickets, heaths, streams, riverine and marshy areas with bushes and trees, grasslands with scattered trees, scrub, orchards, gardens, and urban parks and gardens. Here it is on the machair in an area of Common Daisies (Bellis perennis).

Creeping Lady's Tresses (Goodyera repens), a member of the orchid family, taken at Dulnain Bridge by David Palmar. Since the 1970's, Creeping Lady's Tresses has been in decline, and now it is designated as a nationally scarce plant. However, in some areas of north-east Scotland it is more abundant.

Nettle-leaved Bellflower (Campanula trachelium), Oxfordshire, taken by David Palmar. This robust hairy perennial herb can stand between 50-100cm tall, with its nettle-like leaves being easy to identify. As pictured, the bell-shaped corolla (25-35mm long) is purplish-blue in colour with a hairy outside.
