The Oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) is similar in appearance to a daisy but much larger, with flowerheads around 6cm across. It grows in wildflower meadows between June and August and is possibly in decline in Scotland. This picture was taken at Bridgeness Biodiversity Day, Bo'ness.

Cutting back invasive Buddleia to allow growth of a flower meadow at the former Bridgeness Shipbreakers Yard, Bo'ness, an IFLI-funded project in which Buglife staff and volunteers manage the site. The flower meadow contains species such as Rosebay Willowherb (Chamerion angustifolium), Ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris) and Ox-Eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare).
