It's hard to believe that after its first year this rosette of velvety leaves will later become a plant whose stem stands around 8ft tall, densely covered in stunning yellow flowers. The flowers can be seen between June and August, and although short lived are great for attracting bees, insects and many other pollinators. Taken by David Palmar.
