Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris), a plant in the family Malvaceae, is found all over the UK near railways as well as near roads and wastelands. They bloom from June to October. Certain parts of the plant can be edible and were often used for medicine by the Romans. Taken near Preston Mill in East Linton, East Lothian.
