Aberlady
A group of alert Grey partridges (Perdix perdix), Aberlady Bay. Something disturbed them and they stopped feeding and became alert for a minute, before resuming feeding once they assessed the situation as safe. Birds live on a knife edge and if disturbed, will use up energy without replacing it. Disturbance could have been caused by a bird of prey, a dog or a human.
