Cranes at UIE yard, 1987. Formerly John Brown's shipyard, which became part of Upper Clyde Shipbuilders in 1968, then Marathon, then UIE (Union Industrielle d'Entreprise) bought the shipyard in 1980, built oil rigs for the North Sea such as this one - Conoco Vulcan - and closed it again in 2001.
