This ensures the protection of mudflats, saltmarsh and tidal bank habitats for wading birds, ducks and geese like shelduck, oystercatchers, pink-footed geese and many more. Grangepans Wildflower Meadow, Bo'ness, created by Buglife as part of an Inner Forth Landscape Initiative project. Amongst plants seeded there are cornflowers (Centaurea cyanus), an annual which encourages pollinators. Wildflower meadows are an important habitat for a variety of species. However we have lost over 97% of them in the UK since the 1930s.
