Wild flower meadow, Farr Glebe, Bettyhill, Sutherland, with amongst other plants Common or Black Knapweed (Centaurea nigra), Field Scabious (Knautia arvensis), Meadow Vetchling (Lathyrus pratensis), Greater Knapweed (Centaurea scabiosa) and Common Vetch (Vicia sativa). This area was planted to enhance the habitat for bees and other pollinators.

It is low lying, fertile sandy ground which hosts a rich variety of plants and birds. Here you can see the purple flowers of Common knapweed (Centaurea nigra) and the yellow ones of Ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris), along the coast of Hougharry Bay, RSPB Balranald nature reserve, North Uist.
