White-spotted Sable (Anania funebris), taken by David Palmar. The white-spotted sable is listed as a Red Data Book species classified as nationally scarce. The caterpillars feed on Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea) and occasionally Dyer's Greenweed (Genista tinctoria).
