Breachacha Castles at Crossapol, Coll. Old Breachacha Castle on the right is a tower house which dates from the 15th century and was the stronghold of the Macleans of Coll. The newer Breachacha Castle on the left dates from the 18th century. Loch Breachacha is on the right and Mull in the background.

Sea rocket (Cakile maritima). This is a pioneer annual coastal plant that is able to grow close to the splash zone on sand and shingle, it puts down a long branching tap root to stabilise itself and the sand. Fleshy leaves help to retain moisture. This photo was taken at Crossapol Bay in Coll.
