East Lothian
A Comma (Polygonia c-album) is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. The edges of the butterfly's wings are shaped to disguise hibernating butterflies from predators by imitating dead leaves. Whilst being common and widespread in England and Wales, it is quite rare to spot one in Scotland. Taken near Preston Mill in East Linton, East Lothian.
