Red Goosefoot (Oxybasis rubra or Chenopodium rubrum). Species in subfamily Chenopodioideae are often difficult to identify without a microscope. The stem and perianth of Red Goosefoot are usually tinged with red. The plant prefers nitrogen-rich soil and will flourish in vegetable gardens. This photo was taken at Barassie, Ayrshire.
