West Lothian - Linlithgow and Beecraigs
Nissan Leaf plugged in to a 22kW AC "fast" charger at the Water Yett car park, Linlithgow, taken by David Palmar. There are many such chargers administered by ChargePlace Scotland, a Scottish Government-funded charging network of over 2000 chargers as of 2021. CPS chargers can be used (many free or at low cost) after requesting an RFID card (if you live in the UK), by downloading the ChargePlace Scotland App or by visiting chargeplacescotland.org. A 22kW speed is now becoming outdated as new chargers provide more rapid charging, but it is still useful as a top-up while shopping or walking round the loch. This charger can charge two cars at once. For this speed of charger, you need to have your own Type 2 cable. The move to electric cars helps to mitigate against climate change.
