The Palmar family visiting Dun Carloway broch on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Dun Carloway was probably built in the last century BC. It would likely have served as a defensible residence for a large family including space for the animals on the first floor and is still very well preserved. Scanned from a slide taken by CE Palmar in 1966.
