Meadow Brown (Maniola jurtina) butterfly is one of our commonest and most widespread butterflies, and a familiar sight throughout the summer months. Green-veined White (Pieris napi) butterfly on Yarrow at Spey Bay. It is similar to other white butterflies, but has prominent green stripes on the undersides of its wings. It also has black wingtips and one or two black spots on the forewing. Photo taken by David Palmar.
