Red Goosefoot (Oxybasis rubra or Chenopodium rubrum). Species in subfamily Chenopodioideae are often difficult to identify without a microscope. Grass-leaved Orache (Atriplex littoralis), Barassie. Scanned from a slide taken by CE Palmar. Like other Oraches, this plant is found by the coast, in the upper part of salt marshes and drift lines. Sometimes forms dense stands. May spread inland along salted road verges.
