Langholm Moor
Black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) lekking on Langholm Moor. Lekking is a form of display behaviour in which the dominant male comes to occupy the centre of the display ground or lek, by intimidating other males. All Black grouse shots were taken with a very long lens from a vehicle, which they totally ignored, to minimise any possible disturbance.
